The Solent FTZ is a £28.75m programme awarded by the Department for Transport (DfT), which includes a range of innovative test and trial projects to be delivered across the Solent area. All projects are required to be delivered by June 2024.
The Solent is one of only 4 regions across the country awarded FTZ funding by the DfT and represents an excellent opportunity to shape the transport future for the region and through shared lessons learnt to influence future transport policy for the UK.
We are looking for an innovative, highly motivated, proactive and organised individual to undertake the role of Solent FTZ Programme Manager within Southampton City Council’s Transport team.
If you have experience in managing projects or programmes, ideally with a background in personal mobility or sustainable freight, are a self-starter and proven track record, then we would like to hear from you.
You will be a qualified project/programme management professional (ideally APM, PRINCE2 or other relevant professional qualification) or have significant experience of successfully delivering a range of programmes/large scale projects through the full project lifecycle. You will be experienced in defining scope, products and deliverables, including appropriate resourcing, and ensuring these are delivered to agreed time, cost, quality and compliance objectives. You will also be confident with dealing with a range of stakeholders and have experience of managing multi-million pound budgets.
It is essential for you to be flexible, be able to work under pressure and to be able to work collaboratively with partners and suppliers.
