Competition Terms and conditions

 How to enter  

  1. Use the iPad to answer the quiz question and enter your email address.
  2. Submit your answers.
  3. Should the online entry form fail to work, there is the option to take part on paper.

 The Winner 

  1. The winner is the person who guesses correctly, or closest to, the correct answer, to the nearest 2 decimal places. This person will be contacted via email to arrange delivery of a copy of the Game of (Delivery) Drones board game.
  2. In the event more than one person guesses correctly or gives the closest answer, a winner will be drawn at random from the winning entries.

Terms and conditions apply:

  1. This competition is organised by Solent Transport.
  2. Solent Transport is a partnership between Isle of wight County Council, Hampshire County Council, Portsmouth City Council and Southampton City Council (the “Local Authorities”).
  3. The Local Authorities accept no responsibility for any damage, loss, liabilities, injury, or disappointment incurred or suffered by you as a result of entering the competition.  The Local Authorities further disclaim liability for any injury or damage to your or any other person’s computer relating to or resulting from participation in connection with the competition.
  4. By submitting an entry, you are agreeing to be bound by these Terms and Conditions and are agreeing to provide your name and email address. This information will be kept and used for no longer than 3 months. If you have any questions, please contact enquiries@solent-transport.com
  5. The Game of (Delivery) Drones board game has no retail value.
  6. The competition period ends at 5.30pm on 26 July April 2024.
  7. Solent Transport reserves the right to refuse entry or refuse to award the prize to anyone in breach of these terms and conditions.

This privacy notice tells you about the information we will collect from you when you enter our competition.

Who are we?

We are Solent Transport. Solent Transport represents a partnership between the councils of Hampshire County, the Isle of Wight, Portsmouth City and Southampton City (the Partners). Solent Transport is delivering the Solent Drones for Medical Logistics project.

The Partners are joint data controllers for the data processed by Solent Transport.

What personal data do we collect?

When you enter our competition we ask you for your email address.

Why do we collect this information?

We will use your information to contact you in the event you win the competition. We will contact you to arrange delivery of a copy of the Game of (Delivery) Drones board game. This will require you to provide a delivery address.

How do we collect your information?

Directly from you.

Lawful basis for processing your data.

Consent.  By entering the competition and providing your email address and, if you are contacted due to winning the competition, your delivery address; you are providing your consent for us to use your data for the purposes of entering you into the competition, notifying you if you have won and sending you a copy of the Solent Game of (Delivery) Drones board game.

What do we do with your information?

Your information is stored electronically and will be held on MS Forms on a secure Office 365 account held by the University of Southampton, our research partners. Should the online entry form fail to work, there is the option to take part on paper. If this method is used, your information will be stored securely in a lockable cupboard and will be destroyed within 3 months of the competition ending.

How long do we keep your information for?

Your contact information provided for the purposes of this competition will be deleted 3 months after the date of entry.

Your rights

As an individual you have certain rights regarding our processing of your personal data, including a right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner’s Office as the relevant supervisory authority or you can write to them at: Information Commissioner’s Office, Wycliffe House, Water Lane, Wilmslow, Cheshire, SK9 5AF.

These rights include:

  • The right of access – You have the right to obtain confirmation that your data is being processed, as well as access your personal information.
  • The right to rectification – You have the right to have inaccurate personal data rectified, or completed if it is incomplete
  • The right to erasure – You have the right to have all your data erased, also known as the ‘right to be forgotten.
  • The right to restrict processing – You have the right to request the restriction or suppression of your personal data. This is not an absolute right and only applies in certain circumstances
  • The right to object – You have the right to object to processing in some circumstances. The processing must stop unless there is legitimate grounds that override your rights, interests or freedoms, or the processing has been done in regards to a legal claim
