Our Head of Organisation, Conrad Haigh, has been invited to speak at COP26 by the Department for Transport.

Conrad will be at the UK Presidency Pavilion on Wednesday 10th November, 16:30-17:45, to talk about the Future of Mobility through local innovation and transport solutions.

This will include an explanation of Solent Transport’s ground breaking work with the Solent Future Transport Zone and a Q&A session with colleagues from the DfT.

Solent Transport’s invitation to attend the conference is continued recognition of the excellent work of the Solent FTZ and the Solent region’s crucial importance as a staging ground for ongoing research and innovation projects.

This year will be the 26th Conference of the Parties and the UK, together with Italy, will host an event which represents the world’s last, best chance to save the world from the most devastating impacts of climate change.

United Nations climate change conferences are among the largest international meetings in the world. The negotiations between governments are complex and involve officials and leaders from countries around the world and the conference will have many non-state actors and the global news media in attendance
