The Aim

This project harnessed the power of businesses to influence sustainable travel behaviour change by promoting the use of our Mobility-as-a-Service (MaaS) app called Breeze.

A particular focus was given to locations like entertainment venues, universities and colleges, large supermarkets and shopping centres, business parks and hospitals that experience a high density of journeys into and out of their sites.

Delivering behaviour change helps achieve the following:

  • reducing an organisation’s carbon footprint.
  • improve transit efficiency for customers, staff and visitors.
  • improve a person’s experience of travelling to and from the organisation.
  • improve health and fitness.
  • reduce congestion on local roads and improve parking capacity.

Transition

A transition strategy has consolidated the successes of the project and ensured a continued point of contact is available within our partner local authorities to support any sustainable travel queries from businesses going forwards.

The Solent Future Transport Zone has produced a report summarising the challenges, successes and learnings from the delivery of business engagement through the Breeze app.
